Community First Acquires Colorado Insurance Agency
An affiliate of Fargo, N.D.-based Community First Bankshares Inc. has acquired the Carr Agency, an insurance agency in Thornton, Colo.
The acquisition marks Community First’s 13th insurance agency acquisition in Colorado.
Community First CEO Mark Anderson said in a statement that the move was part of the company’s strategy to expand its agency base for product offerings. Anderson will continue to seek opportunities for additional agency acquisitions, he said.
Community First’s insurance agencies provide a broad selection of insurance products in 48 locations serving communities in Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.
Community First Bankshares, a $5.8 billion financial services company, provides a complete line of banking, investment, insurance, mortgage and trust products to individuals and businesses.
