People Moves: WTW Names Marsh’s Monaghan GB Transportation Leader; Sethu Leads Sustainability & ESG at MS Amlin; Howden’s Levett Is Head of Mkt. Mgmt. at Miller

This edition of International People Moves details appointments at Willis Towers Watson, and two new roles at MS Amlin and broker Miller.

WTW Names Marsh’s Monaghan as GB Industry Transportation Leader

Insurance broker Willis Towers Watson announced the appointment of Anthony Monaghan as GB Industry Transportation leader for its Risk & Broking Division in Great Britain.

Monaghan joins from Marsh where he most recently led its Manufacturing & Automotive Industry. Prior to MMC’s acquisition of JLT, he was Marsh’s transportation leader for the UK and Ireland.

His role at WTW covers all aspects of transportation and as well as supporting the efforts of the GB Retail Transportation Practice, led by Mike George, he also will work closely with WTW’s global marine and aerospace lines of business for GB.

Monaghan will report to Michael Johnston, who leads WTW’s Strategic Sales and Industry Team in GB. Johnston also joined from Marsh, just under two years also, where he was sales leader for its large account division for UK and Ireland.

MS Amlin Appoints Sethu as Head of Sustainability & ESG in New Role

MS Amlin Underwriting Ltd. (MS AUL), the Lloyd’s global specialty re/insurer, announced the appointment of Amir Sethu as head of Sustainability & ESG, a newly created role. Sethu takes up the role later this month and reports directly to Martyn Rodden, director of Strategy & Transformation.

As head of Sustainability & ESG, Sethu will be responsible for the continued development and implementation of MS AUL’s ESG strategy, as the business brings together a diverse range of ongoing and new initiatives operating under a comprehensive ESG framework.

Sethu brings more than two decades of industry experience to the role, with extensive experience in a range of leadership positions and deep subject matter expertise in sustainability and ESG. Sethu joins from Lendurance, a boutique ESG focused commercial lender he co-founded in Singapore before exiting the business earlier this year. Prior to this, Sethu spent seven years as a director at KPMG, advising a broad spectrum of commercial firms on ESG and broader strategic change initiatives. He also spent eight years as group head of Internal Audit at Brit Insurance.

Miller Appoints Howden’s Levett as Head of Market Management

Miller, the London-based independent specialist re/insurance broker, announced the appointment of Kate Levett as its head of Market Management, a newly created role.

Levett will report to Ken MacDonald, executive chairman, and lead the development and coordination of relationships with Miller’s carrier partners. This will include deepening and broadening client access to products and services, as well as driving better outcomes through Miller’s investment in data and analytics.

Levett joins from HX Markets, part of Howden Group, where she most recently served as associate director and was responsible for the development and execution of the strategy to grow strategic insurer relationships. She began her career at Zurich Insurance.
