Top Aon Executive Ronda to Join TigerRisk

October 1, 2021

TigerRisk Partners, the Stamford, Conn.-based insurance and reinsurance broker, announced the impending appointment of Tim Ronda as a senior executive. The hire further strengthens TigerRisk’s position in the reinsurance marketplace.

Ronda’s most recent position was Global Geographic Leader of Reinsurance Solutions at Aon. Before that, he was Aon’s president of Reinsurance Solutions for the U.S. He was also a member of the firm’s reinsurance solutions global executive committee. Before joining Aon, he was a senior vice president at Guy Carpenter.

“This move means that TigerRisk will have, hands down, the best leadership team in our industry,” said TigerRisk Chief Executive Officer Rod Fox. “We are delighted with Tim’s decision to join TigerRisk. He is one of the most experienced and capable reinsurance executives in the industry today. He brings with him two qualities especially important to us at TigerRisk: first, his broad-based relationships and experience; and second, his instinctual understanding of insurance and reinsurance markets.”

Rob Bredahl, who joined TigerRisk as president in 2019, welcomed Ronda’s impending appointment. “This is a real coup for TigerRisk – I have known Tim for 16 years as a former colleague and competitor and have always admired his approach to broking. We have had remarkable interest in our company from both potential clients and people wanting to join the team. Someone of Tim’s caliber joining will continue to add to our appeal. With Tim’s help, we’ll continue reshaping the industry.”

In addition to his executive roles at Aon, Ronda is known for his expertise in areas such as property, management liability, E&O, employment practices, general and excess liability and workers’ compensation.

Ronda graduated from Washington & Lee University with degrees in business administration and accounting. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. Ronda’s employment with TigerRisk will start on Oct. 14.
