Aston Lark Buys 2 Brokers: Abbey Murphy Insurance and The Health Insurance Co.
Aston Lark, the Goldman Sachs-based insurance broker, announced two acquisitions in one day: Deanspoint Insurance Brokers, which trades in Ireland as Abbey Murphy Insurance, and The Health Insurance Company, based in Bournemouth, England.
Financial details of the deals were not disclosed.
Established in 1983 and based in Longford and Mullingar, Ireland, Abbey Murphy Insurance is a personal lines broker with a wide range of commercial sector expertise. Abbey Murphy is led by the management team of Mike Winters, Celine Gill and Michael Gardiner, together with a 14-strong team of dedicated professionals.

The Health Insurance Company
In the second of today’s announced acquisitions, Aston Lark said it agreed terms to acquire the clients of The Health Insurance Company. This acquisition further strengthens the Aston Lark Group’s already significant health insurance expertise and represents another step in the continual expansion of its employee benefits and healthcare insurance business, with further acquisitions planned, the broker said.
Having advised on health insurance since 1998, Paul Spector in 2016 formed The Health Insurance Company, which is a private medical insurance specialist, providing cover for both individuals and small businesses.
The brand has achieved recognition as a trusted partner to its clients through first rate client service and health insurance expertise, said Aston Lark in a statement.
