Tokio Marine HCC Expands Surety Team in France with 2 Hires from Zurich Insurance

Tokio Marine HCC announced the appointment of Jennifer Metcalfe as senior surety underwriter – France, effective Sept. 16. She reports to Aymeric Vinet Desrues, head of Surety – France, who was appointed in February of this year.

Metcalfe joins from Zurich Insurance, where she worked as senior underwriter in the UK and France. She brings 17 years of experience from across the European, U.S. and Australian surety markets.

Vinet Desrues has more than 18 years of experience in the sector. Prior to joining Tokio Marine HCC, he launched and managed the French surety teams at Zurich from 2007 to 2012 and at Chubb between 2013 and 2018.

With these appointments, Tokio Marine HCC continues to expand its international surety capabilities in continental Europe, following recent appointments of surety underwriters in Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands.

Based in Paris, Vinet Desrues and Metcalfe will support medium and large-sized businesses both in France and internationally through Tokio Marine HCC’s global network.
