ACE Creates New Head of Claims Role for Eurasia and Africa
ACE Group has created a new regional head of claims role for the Eurasia and Africa region and has promoted Stephen Crabb, currently political risk and energy claims manager for ACE European Group, to the position.
ACE said the appointment reflects the company’s continued focus on building its management and service capabilities within its newest geographical business region.
Crabb will be responsible for managing ACE’s claims operations across all business lines in the Eurasia and Africa markets. He will provide regional leadership, guidance and direction to ensure the company’s claims structure is best-in-class across the region and is aligned to customers’ needs.
He will continue to be based in London, reporting to Peter Murray, claims director for Europe, Eurasia and Africa with an additional reporting line to Giles Ward, regional president, Eurasia and Africa. The appointment is effective immediately.
Having previously worked as a claims manager at Beazley for three years, Crabb joined ACE in January 2011 in his current role. Prior to this he worked as a solicitor for 13 years, specializing in insurance law.
Ward said: “The creation of this role represents the continuing evolution of ACE’s newest business region. It highlights the importance we place in providing superior claims service to our growing emerging markets clients. Stephen’s extensive insurance experience equips him well in this important new role to lead claims across Eurasia and Africa.”
