U.K.’s EC3\Legal Appoints Schrauwers as Chairman
London-based EC3\Legal* has announced that highly respected insurance industry figure, Cees Schrauwers, has joined the company as chairman.
Schrauwers, who has more than 35 years’ financial services experience, is a former managing director of Aviva International and managing director of CGU Insurance and Commercial Union in the UK. His insurance industry roles have also included directorships with Munich Re (UK) plc, Brit Insurance plc, Canopius and Scottish Widows plc and he was a partner of Coopers & Lybrand. He is the current Chairman and Commissioner of the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.
“The appointment of Cees is in direct response to our growth and reflects our commitment to the industry,” according to EC3\Legal founding partner David Coupe, adding that Schrauwers “brings considerable experience and insight to our offering.”
*EC3\Legal was launched at the end of 2012 to provide legal and other services for SME intermediated businesses. The firm offers employment, regulation and compliance, property, commercial and corporate legal services.
