Argentina’s Galeno to Handle Mapfre Workers’ Comp, Health Business
Madrid-based Mapfre is transferring its workers’ compensation and health activities in Argentina to the Argentinian company, Galeno.
The transaction also calls for commercial collaboration between both firms, whereby Mapfre’s branches and exclusive agents in Argentina will continue to distribute these products, and the Galeno network will commercialize Mapfre Argentina insurance products.
Antonio Huertas, chairman of Mapfre, said the deal will expand his company’s distribution network of Mapfre Argentina and Mapfrre Salud insurance products in Argentina.
Galeno specializes in workers’ compensation and health hazards and has a large network of private clinics in the country.
