UK’s Miller Creates New Specialist Binding Authority Team
London-based broker Miller announced that it has created a new international platform for its binding authority business with the formation of a specialist binding authority team.
“The team will be based in London and will be led by Jonathan Sale and Steve Murphy who have led the growth of Miller’s accident and health business over the last five years,” said the announcement. It also noted that Miller is “the largest broker of binding authority business in the London market through its focus on North American wholesalers. The decision to take this provision global has been driven by an increase in client demand.”
Anna Nash most recently joined the team. Sale indicated that he hopes this will be the first of several key appointments. “Our two immediate aims are to strengthen our team with quality individuals and establish relationships with sustainable underwriting platforms,” he explained. “By achieving both of these goals we will continue to grow this dynamic book of business in the future.”
Nash joined Miller from Howden Insurance Brokers. She has also worked for Aon and Ramon International Insurance Brokers, and specializes in the placement of property, auto physical damage, fine arts & jewelers block, contingency and extended warranty business on a worldwide basis.
