Paschoal Named Marsh Brazil CEO
Marsh announced that Eugênio Paschoal has been appointed as the new CEO of Marsh Brazil effective January 1, 2011.
He will be based in São Paulo, and will be responsible for driving Marsh Brazil’s operating model and ambitious expansion strategy. He succeeds Thomaz Menezes, who left the company in March to become CEO of Sul América Seguros e Previdência.
Paschoal has more than 25 years of insurance broking experience, most recently serving as managing director of Willis Latin America and Caribbean. Prior to that, he spent 12 years as CEO of Willis Brazil.
Alexander Moczarski, President of Marsh’s International Division, noted Paschoal’s “extensive knowledge of the Brazilian market and successful track record as a CEO,” adding that he “will be invaluable as we seek to expand our operations in this exciting economy.”
“Brazil is a key component to our growth strategy in Latin America,” added Ricardo Brockmann, Head of Latin America and Caribbean for Marsh. “With the addition of Eugênio, we will be in an even better position to take advantage of this tremendous opportunity.”
Until Mr Paschoal’s arrival at the first of the year, Renato Cassinelli, Regional Employee Benefits Practice Leader for Latin America and Caribbean, continues as interim head of Marsh Brazil.
