ACE Bermuda Names Jabon, Bacon for Professional Lines

ACE Bermuda announced the appointment of Jeffrey Jabon to the position of Senior Vice President of its Professional Lines department. He takes on management of the department and will be responsible for the development of ACE Bermuda’s professional liability book of business. Jabon will report to Rees Fletcher, President and CEO.

ACE Bermuda also announced that Philippe Bacon has been appointed Senior Vice President, Senior Underwriter of the Professional Lines department, reporting to Jabon. He is a “long serving member of ACE Bermuda’s professional liability team, will serve as a senior technical resource and will assist with the management of the professional lines business,” said the bulletin.

Before joining ACE Bermuda Jabon worked as a management consultant to the insurance industry in New York, Boston, and Bermuda. Prior to that he held senior underwriting and business analyst positions within American International Group in New York. He holds a Bachelors degree from Cornell University and Graduate Degrees from the University of Notre Dame and the London School of Economics.

Bacon has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined ACE Bermuda in 1992 and since then, has been responsible for developing the department’s book of business and underwriting a portfolio of Fortune 500 D&O and professional liability accounts. Prior to joining ACE, he worked for Marsh Global Brokers (Bermuda) Ltd, where he served as a D&O and E&O broker with responsibility for placing multinational risks.

Fletcher noted that he was “delighted to announce these appointments and to encourage Jeffrey and Philippe in their new roles,” and expressed confidence that they would help “to drive our business forward,” and to “profitably grow our professional lines business.”
