Bacon to Become Bowring Marsh CEO
Marsh announced that Nicholas Bacon, currently Chief Operating Officer, is to become Chief Executive of Bowring Marsh, Marsh’s specialist international placement broker.
He will succeed Mark Gregory, who is leaving the company to take up a senior position at a major insurance carrier. Bacon will report to Alex Moczarski, CEO of Marsh International. He will assume his new responsibilities on November 1.
Moczarski singled out Bacon’s extensive management experience and deep knowledge of every aspect of the international insurance market. He also pointed out that he had played a “pivotal role in Bowring Marsh’s creation 14 months ago and has overseen its day-to-day development ever since.”
Bacon noted that he is taking over the position at a time when “clients are asking more of their broker in developing and executing their global placement strategies,” which, he pointed out, Bowring Marsh can provide.
Moczarski also thanked Mark Gregory “for his considerable contributions to Marsh,” and wished him well in his new position.
