Markel International Names Ashby as Specie Underwriter

Markel International has appointed Robert Ashby as specie underwriter to boost its marine and energy division.

Ashby has worked for nearly a decade in specie underwriting. Most recently, he spent six years at QBE where he was the deputy specie underwriter.

Markel International’s specie account comprises all aspects of valuable and precious item insurance, including fine art, securities, bullion, precious metals, cash in transit and jewelery.
