Greaves to Head Marsh’s UK Forensic Accounting, Claims Services Practice

Marsh announced the appointment of Neil Greaves as Leader of its Forensic Accounting and Claims Services (FACS) Practice in the UK, based in London. He will “drive the development of FACS’s UK business portfolio, providing a full range of claims and dispute quantification and management services to corporate clients and prospects,” said the bulletin.

Greaves joined Marsh in 2005, is a Chartered Loss Adjuster with 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He spent 15 years as a loss adjuster for the insurance market, and four years as a claims consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers prior to joining Marsh. He has experience in material damage, business interruption, public/products liability and professional indemnity, particularly within the technology and telecommunications sector.

Andrew King, Leader of the FACS Practice for Europe, Middle East and Africa, explained: “How a claim is handled can make or break a business after a loss. Neil’s extensive claims and recovery experience, handling multi-million pounds losses across Europe, will ensure our clients have the best available advice after a business-critical incident.”

Greaves singled out the “numerous incidents” over the last year in the UK, “such as flooding, industrial fires and product contamination. He stressed that “even with extremely robust risk management systems in place, unforeseen events can cause significant disruption to business. How the insurance claim is dealt with is key to a speedy recovery. I look forward to guiding our clients through the complex claims process and helping them get back to ‘business as usual’.”
