A McDonnell Douglas 83 operated by Atlasjet, a low-cost Turkish airline, crashed around 1:30 A.M. local time this morning, killing all on board.
The plane was carrying 49 passengers and a crew of seven on a domestic flight from Istanbul to Isparta in Southern Turkey.
According to reports there were no severe weather conditions in the area and the plane had not reported any mechanical problems. It disappeared from radar screens as it began its landing approach to the Isparta airport.
