Marsh Launches Global Events Practice
Marsh announced from its London office that it has launched a Global Events Practice to provide risk and insurance solutions to sports and events clients worldwide. It’s to be led by Global Events Practice Leader Warren Harper, and “will provide risk management programme design, crisis management, contingency planning and insurance services to Events Organising Committees, Sports Federations and Governing Bodies,” said the bulletin.
Harper commented: “World-class sport and events demand world-class advice. Marsh has over two decades of experience in sport and global events and we have tried-and-tested risk solutions designed specifically for this market. Events such as the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championships and the role of Federations and Governing Bodies in sport have complex risk profiles. Our team acts as an extension of our clients’ staff, allowing them to focus on their primary task – producing outstanding sports and events for global audiences to enjoy.”
Marsh’s Global Events Practice is part of the Global Sports, Entertainment and Events Practice, which is led by Dennis Donovan in the firm’s Philadelphia office. The Practice is dedicated to helping clients reduce the total cost of risk associated with sports and entertainment exposures.
