Guagliano Named Max Bermuda President, CEO
W. Marston (Marty) Becker, Chairman and CEO of the Bermuda-based Max Capital Group Ltd., announced that Angelo M. Guagliano, most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer of Max Capital’s Bermuda operating company, Max Bermuda Ltd., has been promoted to President and CEO of Max Bermuda. He also takes a place on Max Bermuda’s Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Becker will relinquish his post as CEO of Max Bermuda, but will continue to serve as Chairman, as well as Chairman and CEO of Max Capital, its parent company.
Becker expressed his pleasure at Guagliano’s new role, noting that his experience would benefit the Group’s “strategic growth plans.”
Guagliano, 53, joined Max in January 2003. Prior to that, he was most recently affiliated with XL Insurance (Bermuda) Ltd., serving as its Executive Vice President; as Country Manager for XL’s Bermuda Insurance operations; and as XL’s Chief Excess Liability Underwriter and Manager.
