Hyland Joins Flagstone Re Suisse

Bermuda-based Flagstone Reinsurance Holdings Limited announced that John Hyland has joined their Swiss Operation, Flagstone Reassurance Suisse SA, as the Chief Underwriting Officer for Specialty classes.

Hyland is moving to Flagstone after “a long career in the London Market, initially with Transatlantic Re, and more recently, the active underwriter at Lloyds Syndicate 2121,” said the announcement.

He joins the existing underwriting team of Peter Zumstein, Suzanne Corona PhD, and Christian Wegmann at Flagstone Reassurance Suisse SA.

CEO David Brown commented: “We are delighted to have John join our Swiss team based in Martigny, as this is further progress both into Europe and new diversifying business classes. The team has extensive knowledge and experience in their respective fields and forms a very important part of our continued product diversification and international development strategy.”
