Transatlantic Re Elects New Officers, Declares Dividend

Following a regularly scheduled meeting the Board of Directors of Transatlantic Reinsurance Company, a subsidiary of Transatlantic Holdings, Inc., announced that the following officers have been elected to the positions indicated:

New York: Suzanne Spantidos – Senior Vice President
James Moore – Vice President
Jennifer Vezza – Assistant Actuary

Miami: Rafael Derett – Vice President
Juan Carlos Roa – Vice President

London: Neil Inskip – Assistant Vice President
Calum Kennedy – Assistant Vice President

Paris: Laurent Montador – Assistant Vice President

The Board also declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.10 per share on the Company’s common stock, payable June 13, 2003, to stockholders of record on June 6, 2003.
