Ireland’s IONA Technologies announced that its Enterprise Portal Company “has signed a multi-million dollar, multi year contract with Winterhur Versicherungen, the Swiss-based global insurance company, to build a web-to-host claims reporting and processing system.
The e-business solution is based on IONA’s iPortal Suiteā¢.” The announcement came on top of positive earnings results-$30.7 million in sales and $3.2 million in pretax profit for the first quarter-for the Dublin-based software maker. Winterhur plans to integrate the new system with existing software.
