Adjuster Created Law Firm and Fake Claim to Defraud Insurer of $1M, Officials Charge
A former claims adjuster has been charged with defrauding the Pennsylvania insurer he worked for by taking payment of nearly $1 million for an accident claim under the guise that he was with a law firm representing the claimant.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced felony charges against Glenn Allen Johnson and his business, Elite Injury Representatives, LLC, alleging insurance fraud, theft by deception, forgery and other charges.
Investigators maintain that Johnson, of Indiana, was employed as a claims adjuster by Donegal Insurance when he steered payment of $949,639 from Donegal to Elite Injury Representatives.
According to investigators, Johnson, while employed at Donegal in 2024 and 2025, created and opened Elite Injury Representatives, which appeared to be a law firm, and utilized his position as a claims adjuster to input fraudulent documentation into the Donegal claims file. This documentation included fraudulent medical records and notes of conversations between the alleged injured party and Johnson, according to prosecutors.
Based on the medical records within the file and a subsequent demand letter, also believed to be authored by Johnson, Donegal issued a payment to Elite Injury Representatives in the amount of $949, 639.54.
According to officials, Johnson was arrested last week in Indiana and is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania to face the charges.
Criminal charges are merely allegations and Johnson is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
