Relation Insurance Reports It Acquired Pennsylvania’s LaPlaca Agency

Relation Insurance Services reported that it has closed on its acquisition of LaPlaca Insurance, Inc. in Pennsylvania.

The transaction went into effect on June 30, 2026. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Located in Chalfont, Pennsylvania, LaPlaca serves the greater Philadelphia, New York, and New Jersey areas. The firm offers business and personal insurance as well as employee benefits.

Anne La Placa, vice president, noted that her father founded the agency in 1988. She said joining Relation will enhance the agency’s resources and capabilities so it can better serve its clients.

Chicago-based Relation Insurance Services is an insurance brokerage with approximately 1,350 employees across more than 90 locations nationwide. Relation is a privately held corporation backed by BayPine, a Boston-based private equity firm.
