IICF Raises $1.4 Million for Northeast Nonprofits

December 10, 2024

The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) reports that it raised more than $1.4 million at its 18th Annual Northeast Benefit Event last week in New York City.

The gala hosted more than 600 professionals from the insurance industry for an evening celebrating the industry’s dedication to giving back, while raising funds for nonprofit grantees in the Northeast region.

At the 2024 IICF Northeast Benefit, IICF recognized Aon with the “Double I” award that recognizes insurance organizations for their philanthropic dedication, commitment to local communities and industry leadership. Christine Williams, Northeast region leader at Aon, accepted the award on behalf of Aon and its employees. Annually, Aon gives more than $10 million in charitable contributions to support organizations in the communities where Aon team members live and work.

Proceeds from the annual IICF Northeast Benefit fund local nonprofits supporting education, people in need and the environment. IICF’s Northeast Division has awarded $13 million in grants since its founding in 2007 to over 350 nonprofits and charities across the Northeast region.

This year’s proceeds will support IICF Community Grants to: 180 Turning Lives Around, America’s Grow-a-Row, Covenant House NY, East Side House, Friends of Karen, Fulfill, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Interval House, Mount Kisco Child Care Center, Ollie’s Orchestra, Our Military Kids, Reading Partners, Strongpoint Theinert Ranch and Women Rising. In addition, IICF has given nine additional grants outside the New York metropolitan area to nonprofits that were nominated by agents and brokers who live and work in those communities.
