Grindle Retires from Maine Agency
Former owner Terry Grindle recently retired from The Roland Grindle Agency, a division of Brown, Holmes & Milliken in Bucksport, Maine.
Grindle spent nearly 50 years in the insurance industry. His grandfather, Ivor Grindle, founded the agency in 1937. His father, Roland Grindle, took over in the 1950s. In 1993, Grindle assumed management and was the owner until the agency sold to Sargent, Tyler & West of Brewer in 2014. After the sale, he continued as agency manager. The agency was sold to Cross Insurance in 2016 and sold again in 2019, becoming a division of Brown, Holmes & Milliken while operating under the Roland Grindle name.
