Kirkland & Ellis Hires Hassouri in New York as Partner in Corporate Practice Group
Kirkland & Ellis LLP has hired Parimah Hassouri to its New York office as a partner in the Corporate Practice Group.
Her appointment follows the recent addition of Rajab Abbassi as a partner in New York and bolsters Kirkland’s ability to serve clients on complex insurance transactions and insurance regulatory matters.
Hassouri has represented a broad range of clients operating in the life, health, property and casualty, financial guaranty, mortgage guaranty and title insurance industries, as well as private equity funds and other sponsors acquiring and divesting insurers and insurance-related entities.
She has experience in regulatory filings associated with mergers and acquisitions and other changes in corporate structure, including mutual holding company conversions and redomestications. She has also advised on the formation and licensing of insurance companies, insurance intermediaries and captive insurers, and routinely assists companies with corporate governance and compliance issues. Additionally, Hassouri works with early-stage and developed insurtechs, helping them structure their products and get them out to market.
Hassouri joins from the New York office of McDermott, Will & Emery where she was a partner.
