Sandy Spring Insurance Acquires The Advantage Group in Maryland

Sandy Spring Insurance Corp., a subsidiary of Md. headquartered Sandy Spring Bancorp Inc., has acquired The Advantage Group Inc.

Following the acquisition, The Advantage Group will continue to operate under its current name. It will ultimately rebrand to Sandy Spring Insurance, but no changes will be made to the company’s insurance agents or its client insurance policies.

With a particular focus on contractor insurance, The Advantage Group has more than 25 years of experience serving clients throughout Md., where it is based. This acquisition will allow Sandy Spring to expand its reach throughout Western Maryland and improve client pricing and coverage.

Sandy Spring Bancorp Inc. is the holding company for Sandy Spring Bank.
