New York Launches Website for Extreme Weather
New York is launching a website to help communities across the state prepare for extreme weather.
The website created by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) provides access to more than 1,000 maps, data on sea level and temperature changes, and data sets and documents that show the impacts of climate change on infrastructure, transportation, energy, water resources, ecosystems, agriculture and public health.
The Climate Change Science Clearinghouse site is being hosted by Cornell University and also provides information on greenhouse gas reduction strategies and how to incorporate clean energy into future decisions.
