Mass. to Hold Public Hearings on Homeowners Insurance Marketing & Sales
Massachusetts state insurance officials are going on the road with a series of public hearings to explore how homeowners insurance is sold in Massachusetts.
The Massachusetts Division of Insurance says the hearings will give consumers a chance to express concerns about the marketing and sale of policies as well as about how much they cost and how available they are.
Officials say homeowners also will be able to discuss whether they were denied coverage.
The state says it will hold hearings this Wednesday in Lowell; on Oct. 26 in Amherst; on Nov. 5 in Worcester; on Nov. 17 in Boston; on Dec. 2 in New Bedford; and on Dec. 8 in Hyannis.
