Engle-Hambright & Davies Announces 2 Appointments in Pennsylvania

Engle-Hambright & Davies Inc. (EHD), an independent insurance agency based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, hired Matthew Swanick as Construction and Surety Practice group leader in the Commercial Department.

Prior to joining EHD, Swanick most recently worked for Wells Fargo Insurance Services Inc., where he established and maintained the company’s surety bond department for the Mid-Atlantic/East Coast region.

In his new position with EHD, Swanick will be responsible for business development of surety and commercial property/casualty insurance business and for the ongoing service of clients in the construction industry. He will also assist other EHD personnel in growing the company’s overall construction industry practice group throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states.

EHD also announced the hiring of Debra A. Welsh as clinical director of health, safety and wellness, a new position for the firm.

In this new capacity, Welsh will provide programs and services to EHD clients that promote the safety and well-being of employees and their families.

Before joining EHD, Welsh was most recently managing principal/health strategist at ECO Health Strategies. At ECO, Welsh was responsible for implementing occupational health promotion and disease management strategies.
