Preferred Mutual Promotes Lopata to Senior VP in New York

Preferred Mutual Insurance Co. in New Berlin, N.Y., has promoted Jeffrey Lopata to senior vice president and chief information officer. Lopata joined Preferred Mutual in 2005 as manager of the commercial lines e-business team.

Prior to joining Preferred Mutual, he worked eight years with another regional carrier, where he managed web development and application development. Lopata has over 15 years of management experience in his field and the insurance industry.

Preferred Mutual Insurance Co. provides property/casualty insurance coverage to more than 250,000 individual and business customers through a network of more than 450 independent agents throughout New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The mutual insurance company, in business since 1896, employs more than 260 employees.
