Navigators Names President of Specialty Excess Casualty Unit
The Navigators Group Inc. announced that its principal underwriting agency subsidiary, Navigators Management Company, named Timothy D. Ryan as president of the Excess Casualty unit of Navigators Specialty, which focuses exclusively on U.S. wholesale brokers.
Prior to joining Navigators, Ryan was executive vice president and chief excess casualty officer at Aspen Insurance. He has also served in various leadership positions with Carolina Casualty Insurance Company (a member company of the W.R. Berkley Corporation) and General Star Management Company (General Reinsurance Corporation). He reports to Jeff L. Saunders, president of Navigators Specialty, who has until now also served as president of the Specialty Excess Casualty unit.
