N.Y.-Based Holborn Taps Guy Carpenter Exec as Senior VP

Holborn Corp., an independent reinsurance brokerage based in New York, announced that Simon Hudson has joined the firm as senior vice president. He will be based in the firm’s New York City office.

Previously, Hudson served as managing director at Guy Carpenter & Co., which he joined as a consequence of its acquisition of John B. Collins Associates in 2009. He began his insurance industry career with Willis Reinsurance.

Founded in 1920, Holborn Corp. is an independent reinsurance brokerage firm headquartered in New York City. Through the adoption of an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) during 1998, it became exclusively owned by its employees.
