Maine Superintendent Stepping Down
Insurance Superintendent Mila Kofman will step down from the Maine Bureau of Insurance at the end of the month.
Kofman has served as superintendent since March 2008. Prior to state service, Kofman was on faculty at Georgetown University and had previously served as a federal regulator with the U.S. Department of Labor.
Anne Head, commissioner of the Maine Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, praised Kofman’s tenure, saying the state “has moved up in the ranks for affordable homeowners’ and auto insurance rates.”
