Wrynn Confirmed as New York’s Newest Insurance Superintendent
New York’s Senate has confirmed James J. Wrynn as superintendent of the New York State Insurance Department.
Wrynn, who succeeded Eric Dinallo, had been serving as acting superintendent since Aug. 20.
He most recently served as executive director of the New York State Insurance Fund, the state’s largest workers’ compensation insurer. Prior to that, he spent 25 years as a trial attorney focusing on insurance issues, and was a founding partner in the law firm of MacKay Wrynn & Brady.
