Delaware Safety Officials End Campaign Against Agressive Driving
The Delaware Office of Highway Safety has ended its 2008 Stop Aggressive Driving campaign.
Statistics show 2,737 drivers were cited for speeding since the campaign began in July. Delaware police agencies made 26 arrests for aggressive driving, eight for DUI and 51 criminal arrests. Seatbelt citations were given to 205 drivers.
Safety officials say speeding is second only to driving under the influence as the leading cause of traffic deaths in Delaware.
