Ward Named to Lead Iroquois Network Expansion in New England
The Iroquois Group network of independent property/ casualty insurance agencies is planning to grow in the six New England states.
Matt Ward has been named to direct the New England expansion with an expanded management team. Ward has been with Iroquois, having built the largest network of Iroquois member agencies in the Mid-Atlantic and Southern states.
Ward will be assisted by Kevin McKay, who handles Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. McKay has been promoted to senior regional manager and will have increased responsibilities over the six state territory.
Iroquois said it will hire at least two additional regional managers for the New England states in the remaining months of 2008.
Iroquois said it has grown to 1,700 member agencies in 36 states and it sees an excellent opportunity to increase its presence in New England.
The change comes following the decision by Ray Begin, Iroquois’ managing partner for Connecticut and Rhode Island, to retire at year-end.
