Two in N.H. Accused of Workers’ Compensation Benefit Fraud

Two New Hampshire residents have been indicted on fraud charges involving workers’ compensation insurance.

Attorney General Kelly Ayotte says indictments were returned against Phillip Rice, 52, of Derry and Dorothy Olson, 42, of Northfield.

Authorities accuse Rice of received workers’ compensation payments while he was working. They say he hid the fact that he had a job. He was indicted on three charges. Each carries a maximum prison sentence of 15 years.

Authorities say Olson falsified evidence and tampered with public records to cover up the fact she was working. She faces up to seven years in prison on one count and a year in jail on the other.
