The Hanover Provides Agents with Inland Marine Specialists Team

The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. has launched the Marine Underwriting Advantage Team, a team of specialists promising marine solutions for agents who place small volumes of inland marine business and would not normally have access to a carrier’s marine specialists.

For commercial lines agents who place large volumes of marine business with the company and marine specialty agents, The Hanover also offers dedicated marine underwriters who deliver customized solutions for sophisticated risks.

According to Sophia Phillips, vice president of Inland and Ocean Marine and Marine Niche Program, the new team is meant as a way to help agents write total commercial accounts by giving them access to highly-specialized marine underwriters on business that may be overlooked by another carrier.

Marine coverage is one of the commercial insurance programs offered by The Hanover. The company’s products for both inland and ocean marine include: Builder’s Risk (home and commercial), Contractor’s Equipment, Communication and Transportation related exposures (such as broadcasting, cell towers, bridges and pipelines), Motor Truck Cargo, Shipper’s Transportation, Warehouse Legal Liability, Ocean Cargo, Equipment Dealers, Fine Arts and Fine Art Dealers, Museums, Musical Instruments, Orchestras, Musical Instrument Dealers, Marinas, Jewelers and Furriers.
