Carney Joins PMA Group as Product Development VP

The PMA Insurance Group announced that William G. Carney has joined the company as vice president of product development and management. Carney is responsible for the corporate underwriting management of PMA’s lines of business and product development initiatives.

Carney was previously chief underwriting officer of ACE Workers Compensation, ACE USA. He has a 27-year career in the insurance industry. From 2000 to 2002, he was deputy secretary for compensation and insurance in the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.

The PMA Insurance Group, a multi-lines property and casualty insurer specializing in workers’ compensation, is headquartered in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
