Panelists to Discuss ‘The New Ethics of Insurance,’ Sept. 28 in New York City
The Eastern Chapter of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society announced it will be hosting an educational seminar, The New Ethics of Insurance, at The Union League Club on Sept. 28, 2005, in New York City. Insurance industry leaders will provide insight and analysis of the impact on business practices, operations, and how to manage a career in the current ethical and regulatory environment. In addition, various state insurance industry investigations will be reviewed and an assessment of recent state-issued subpoenas, settlements, along with disclosure and transparency issues will be discussed.
The event will feature Audrey Samers, Deputy Superintendent and General Counsel of the New York State Insurance Commission and be moderated by Stephen M. Marcellino, a partner with Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker, LLP. Joining Marcellino and Samers as panelists will be Ann Marie Marson, Senior Vice President, Claims, James River Insurance Company; Martin Nilsen, Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of the Arch Insurance Group; Marvin G. Pickholz, Partner, Pickholz Law Firm, LLC; and Stephen J. Sills, CEO, Darwin Professional Underwriters, Inc.
