IIABNY Retains 95% of Members
The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York, Inc. reported that it has retained 95 percent of its membership.
The organization represents more than 1,400 independent agencies and brokerages, with more than 1,900 offices across the state.
“Member benefits include a wide array of products and services that support and assist members. Many members utilize IIABNY’s quality educational programs, which won the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America’s 2003 L.P. McCord National Education Award for excellence,” said the bulletin.
The IIABNY noted that it is “the voice of independent agents,” and has been “an unrelenting advocate on their behalf. This advocacy takes a number of forms, including lobbying on legislative, public information programs, regulatory and legal issues. Nationally, the IIABA lobbying team has consistently been ranked as one of the top 25 most powerful lobbying forces on Capitol Hill.”
