Fireman’s Fund Seeks 10 Percent Auto Discount in Mass.
Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company announced that it plans to file a request with the Massachusetts Division of Insurance to give a 10 percent discount to its best private passenger automobile customers in the state.
“The proposed discount covers ‘Step 9’ automobile customers — those who have not had an at-fault accident or traffic violation in the past six years,” said the announcement.
“Fireman’s Fund insures roughly 32,000 automobiles in the state — less than one percent of the market, but the size of our discount is making a statement that we will be very aggressive in holding and attracting customers with exemplary driving records,” stated Nicki Colosi Trilling, Personal Insurance Territorial Executive of Fireman’s Fund.
“Some insurance companies choose to reward agents to bring the best drivers to them, we have chosen to reward the safe drivers themselves.” Trilling stressed that the company’s primary objective is to insure the cars in the garages of the homes it insures.
