AMS, Marshall & Swift/Boeckh Form Marketing Agreement
AMS Services of Windsor, Conn. announced it has entered an agreement with New Berlin, Wis.-based Marshall & Swift/Boeckh (MS/B), a and building cost information systems provider, in which AMS’s rating group will be able to sell two of MS/B’s total component valuation products to their current rating customers.
The two products are BVS-Commercial(TM) and Residential Component Technology (RCT(TM)). AMS’s first priority will be to encourage customers to replace older DOS-based valuation products with these two modern MS/B products.
Ed Olsen, senior vice president and general manager of AMS rating products, comments. “Accurate replacement cost estimation is an important part of making sure the customer is insured for the proper amount. The MS/B products are very popular among AMS agent customers because of their accuracy. We are pleased to be able to offer these modern tools to our current customers.”
Peter Wells, senior vice president of MS/B, also comments. “Agents can estimate more kinds of risks with this new technology, and best of all, it’s easier to learn and use and more reliable than any estimating product that has gone before. Also, because each valuation is based on easy to understand property characteristics, everyone from the consumer to the agent, underwriter to the claims adjuster can agree on this ‘once & done’ process to insure properties adequately.”
