Betsy A. Magnuson Named President of Herbert H. Landy Agency
The Herbert H. Landy Insurance Agency, Inc. of Needham, Mass. announced the appointment of Betsy A. Magnuson as President.
“Betsy, a 1979 graduate of Syracuse University, succeeds her father, Herbert Landy, as President of the Insurance Agency”, said the announcement. He’ll remain as Chairman of the Board of the Agency he founded in 1949.
Betsy joined the firm in 1985, and has worked in the underwriting department and been involved in agency management for more than 10 years.
The Agency provides professional liability and Errors & Omissions insurance to a wide spectrum of professionals throughout the United States, including Accountants, Real Estate Agents & Brokers and Real Estate Appraisers, through a network of more than 500 independent agents.
Mrs. Magnuson said she was looking forward to carrying on the Agency’s traditions established by her father, and that it would continue to be an industry innovator, “changing with the times to develop products that meet the evolving needs of our professional clients and the independent agent distribution network.”
