AIA Seeking Change in Credit Scoring in N.H.
The American Insurance Association (AIA) is seeking major changes in regards to the New Hampshire Insurance Department’s (NHID) proposed regulation for the use of credit scoring by insurers.
During a meeting of the Joint Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules, AIA noted it was looking for changes which would make for a more workable regulation.
In its recommendations, AIA is seeking the elimination of the requirement for written permission. In the alternative, AIA proposes that a notice requirement take the place of the written authorization requirement.
