S&P Assigns “CCCpi” to Superior Ins.
A “CCCpi” financial strength rating was assigned to Superior Insurance Company by Standard & Poor”s (S&P). The rating action also applies to the company”s wholly owned and reinsured subsidiaries, Superior Guaranty Ins. Co. and Superior American Ins. Co. The stock company is based in Georgia and mainly writes personal and commercial auto, with a specialization in nonstandard automobile. Licensed in 15 states, its major states of operation are Florida, Georgia, Virginia and California.
