EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, a retail property and casualty and employee benefits insurance brokerage and consulting firm, has announced that Lou D’Agostino and his Iron Cove Partners team have joined the firm.

D’Agostino has more than 17 years of insurance brokerage experience with an expertise in serving the financial services industry. D’Agostino and his team will be based in EPIC’s Midtown New York City office, reporting to EPIC Northeast Region President Thomas O’Neil and operating as Iron Cove – a division of EPIC.

Prior to forming Iron Cove, D’Agostino spent 10 years with broker Frank Crystal & Co. in New York, where he was a director in the Financial Services Practice.

In this role, D’Agostino designed and placed management and professional liability insurance programs for a range of financial services firms including hedge/private equity funds, registered investment advisors, securities dealers, family offices and consultants.

While running Iron Cove, D’Agostino created a financial services practice. He also developed risk management and insurance programs for a number of commercial businesses in the real estate, not-for-profit, manufacturing, retail and technology industries.

Burns & Wilcox, a wholesale insurance broker and underwriting manager, has hired Jeffrey R. Cunningham to its New York City office as a senior broker in its Environmental Insurance practice.

Cunningham previously served in leadership roles at American Risk Management Resources, Hub International, Willis North America and Marsh.

In his new role, he will help continue expanding the Burns & Wilcox Environmental Insurance practice. He reports to Associate Managing Director Anna Kodryanu.

Cunningham specializes in environmental risks, including pollution liability and environmental site liability, as well as combined environmental policies including pollution liability, general liability, comprehensive personal liability and professional for environmental contractors. He has experience providing environmental insurance in the manufacturing, chemical, healthcare and energy sectors, as well as for mergers and acquisitions.

Rogers & Gray Insurance, a South Dennis, Mass.-headquartered, independent insurance agency, has appointed Patrick Marshall as a business insurance consultant.

Marshall comes to Rogers & Gray from Denver, Colo.-based Xactly Corporation, a cloud-based software company, where he served as an account executive. Prior to that, he worked in customer account management at Epicor Software. He also brings marketing experience in the non-profit world, having worked with the Houston Ballet Academy and the non-profit Vail Valley Music Festival.

In his new role, Marshall will primarily serve Rogers & Gray’s small business clients, providing risk management support.

PowerGuard Specialty Insurance Services, a renewable energy program manager based in the U.S., has hired warranty and service agreement specialist Dan Cantafi as the firm’s senior vice president of sales and marketing.

He will be based in Glastonbury, Conn., and report to PowerGuard Co-Founder Mike McMullen and Chief Operating Officer Scott Gunnison.

Cantafi joins PowerGuard from The Warranty Group, where he spent the past nine years as its vice president of sales in North America.

He previously spent six years as director of national sales at Service Net Warranty, delivering warranty management administration, extended service programs, customer service support, service network management, claims processing services and service contract underwriting.

PowerGuard is a specialty renewable energy program manager specializing in the design and underwriting of insurance and risk management products for wind, solar and other alternative energy companies.

CorPro Underwriting Managers has hired Michael Giuliano as a senior underwriter based in New York, N.Y. He specializes in private company and not-for-profit directors and officers (D&O), employment practices liability (EPL), fiduciary and related coverages.

He was formerly with Chubb, having worked in its Washington, D.C. and Simsbury, Conn., offices focusing on errors and omissions (E&O), cyber and management liability products.

CorPro is a managing general underwriter acting as AIG’s underwriting facility for small to mid-market private and non-profit management liability programs.

Available coverages include D&O, EPL, fiduciary, crime and employed lawyers. All products are written by subsidiaries or affiliates of AIG.
