Roger Walleck, vice president of Underwriting at Missouri Employers Mutual, has been elected to serve on the national underwriting committee for the workers’ compensation rate making organization, National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI).

Walleck joined workers’ comp insurer MEM in 2017 and provides executive leadership to the Underwriting Department and directs the company’s book of business. He manages agency and policyholder relationships to maximize company profitability and customer service.

Managing general agency and surplus lines broker J.M. Wilson named Steve Francis as assistant transportation underwriter in its Arlington Heights, Ill., office. The firm also named Ryan Gibbons a transportation underwriter in the Westerville, Ohio, office, and Sarah Hassan as agency information coordinator in the Portage, Mich., office.

Francis is responsible for underwriting new and renewal business, corresponding with carrier underwriters, and assisting independent agents in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and Wisconsin. He has four years of previous experience as a surety claims specialist and a surety underwriter. He also has served as an auto claims adjuster.

Gibbons will underwrite new and renewal accounts for a wide variety of commercial transportation risks, and issue policies and service accounts for independent insurance agents in Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia. He joined J.M. Wilson in September 2017 as an assistant transportation underwriter.

Hassan is responsible for assisting independent insurance agents in becoming appointed with J.M. Wilson, as well as managing and updating the contact information and agency records for all currently appointed agents.

Hanover Stone Solutions, an advisory firm providing risk consulting services, including enterprise risk management (ERM), ORSA compliance and strategic planning consulting, to U.S. property/casualty and life insurance companies, has appointed Edward “Ned” K. Loughridge as a senior advisor in Chicago.

Loughridge will work within the firm’s recently formed Strategic Planning Consulting practice. Loughridge also is president of Caledonia Marketing LLC, which advises insurers on marketing.

During his career, he has held numerous management and senior leadership positions with Zurich and Kemper.

Brit Ltd. (Brit) appointed Mark Richards as senior vice president, General Liability, for Brit Global Specialty USA (BGSU). He is based in Chicago.

Richards brings over 30 years of underwriting experience across casualty classes. He joins from Navigators Group, where he was president, Primary Casualty Division. Richards previously launched and grew the E&S primary casualty division at Argonaut Specialty Division (part of Argo Group). He also has held underwriting roles at Axis Insurance, CNA, Zurich and others.

Amerisure Insurance, headquartered in Farmington Hills, Mich., named Becky Kenyon as vice president of field claims.

Kenyon has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, most recently serving as chief claims officer for the Continental Western Group of the W.R. Berkley Corporation. Prior to that, Kenyon was regional vice president of claims at Amerisure, as recently as 2014.

She holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

MJ Insurance appointed three new team members, Michael Janicki, Amy Sadler and Brittany Dockemeyer, to its Indianapolis office.

Janicki joins MJ Insurance in a newly developed role for the Risk Management department as director of risk services. Janicki has a 20-year risk control career in the commercial insurance industry. Most recently, he served as managing director, risk control at FCCI Insurance Group.

Sadler will join MJ as a client executive, where she will lead the development and execution of client benefit plan strategies. She brings leadership experience in client management, claims management and benefits administration. Prior to MJ, she was a senior account manager at Lockton Companies.

Dockemeyer joins the MJ team as a human resource specialist. Previously, Dockemeyer worked as human resources generalist at Hamilton County HR.

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions named Diane Link as head of Excess and Surplus (E&S) Casualty for North America, based in Chicago.

Link brings two decades of industry experience to this role, including assignments in auditing, underwriting, and product management. She has been with Swiss Re since 2006 and joined the Corporate Solutions E&S Casualty group in 2014. Most recently, she was appointed to lead the Middle Market Excess Casualty unit.

Corporate Solutions has offices in 26 cities.

Venture Underwriters Inc. (VUI) opened a new office in Chicago and hired Janet Stoller as vice president to oversee the new branch location.

Stoller brings more than 35 years of underwriting experience. She has worked with various insurance services companies in the Chicago area, holding both underwriting and leadership roles. Prior to joining Venture Underwriters, she worked for Burns & Wilcox LTD, Zurich Insurance Co., and Colony, part of the Argonaut Group. She holds a CPCU designation as well as being certified as a lean green belt (Six Sigma).

The Chicago office will provide an expanding footprint for Venture Underwriters and provides expertise to the specific nuances of the Illinois construction marketplace.

John Tribble has been named vice president and chief administration officer for CM Regent Insurance Co., a subsidiary of Merrill, Wisconsin-based Church Mutual Insurance Co.

Tribble will be responsible for the Loss Control Department and have dotted-line responsibility and day-to-day oversight of the Shared Services departments: Claims, Marketing, Information Technology and Broker Relations.

Tribble joined Church Mutual in January 2016 as a territory manager. He was promoted to director of diversity and inclusion in January 2017. Currently, Tribble serves as assistant vice president and chief diversity officer for Church Mutual, a position to which he was promoted in September 2017. He will continue serving in that capacity while the company recruits a new leader to fill the position.

Tribble holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Casualty Claim Law Associate designations.
