H.W. Kaufman Group, headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan, added Christine M. Tricoli to its executive team as vice president, Human Resources.
Based in the company’s Michigan headquarters, Tricoli assumes responsibility for all of Kaufman’s HR activities and functions.
Tricoli joins Kaufman from CIT Group, a financial services company headquartered in New York City. At CIT Group, she served as senior vice president, head of Talent Services.
Dr. Renee S. Lerche, who has led Kaufman’s Human Resources department for the past 12 years, will continue as corporate senior vice president. She will oversee the Kaufman Institute, a division of H.W. Kaufman Group dedicated to the training and development of insurance professionals.

Alera Group, a Deerfield, Illinois-based employee benefits, property/casualty, risk management and wealth management firm, appointed Danielle Capilla JD as director of Compliance, Employee Benefits.
Capilla will focus on enhancing Alera Group’s existing compliance capabilities and building new products and services for Alera Group’s employee benefits clients.
Capilla previously was senior vice president of Compliance and Operations at United Benefit Advisors. In her role, she oversaw the organization’s compliance efforts and day-to-day operations, as well as evaluated the impact of long range planning.
She currently serves as an adjunct professor at DePaul University College of Law and is the federal and state legislative chair for the Downtown Chicago Chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU).
ONI Risk Partners (ONI), headquartered in Indianapolis, promoted Calvin Conerly to director of client experience in the Employee Benefits division.
In this newly created role, Conerly oversees account management, health and wellness, data analytics, and client engagement. He also continues to manage his largest clients while transitioning to his expanded role.
Most recently, Conerly was a key account manager at ONI where he has worked for nearly five years. During this time, he has advised some of the largest and most complex client accounts and played a crucial role in developing the account management strategy.
J.M. Wilson named Tyler Young database and marketing administrator in its Portage, Michigan, office.
Young is responsible for creating, developing and managing the website, assisting with the administration and management of internal applications, and conducting data analysis of digital marketing and social media strategies.
He was previously a sales and marketing associate at Traumasoft, a business development lead at Ideaomed, and most recently a digital marketing strategist at Secant Technologies.
J.M. Wilson is a managing general agency and surplus lines broker.
Chicago-based CNA appointed Garrett Williams as senior vice president and chief compliance officer.
Williams is responsible for the overall strategic leadership and direction of CNA’s Enterprise Compliance Group.
He joined CNA after 20 years of service to State Farm in various counsel roles. Most recently, he served as leader of State Farm’s Enterprise Compliance and Ethics department, AML/OFAC officer and chief privacy officer.
CNA also appointed Jennifer Livingstone senior vice president and chief marketing officer, a newly created role.
Livingstone joins CNA after 25 years in the insurance industry, in both underwriting and sales roles. She spent the majority of her career at AIG in roles of increasing scope and responsibility. Livingstone spent her last seven years at AIG as senior vice president, head of broker relations and channel management. Since 2016, Livingstone has served as vice president of global sales development at Cyence.
Everest Re Group Ltd. added Eric Koppang to the Everest Insurance Specialty Casualty team within the E&S Casualty unit. Based in Chicago, Koppang joins Everest as vice president and head of E&S Casualty.
Koppang will be responsible for developing new products and product enhancements, and helping lead the continued expansion of the E&S primary casualty unit in the wholesale space.
He has 30 years of insurance industry experience, including 23 years in the E&S Casualty space. Koppang was most recently at Chubb, where he led the Westchester E&S Casualty group as senior vice president.
