Trinity Underwriting Managers (TUMI), a division of Worldwide Facilities, has added Bill Acevedo as claims manager and Nick Blankenship as broker. The two will be based in its offices in Savannah, Ga.
Acevedo, a former Marine, brings over 30 years of experience to his newly-created position, including positions at York Risk Services, Crum & Forster, The Home Insurance Co., and Zurich American Insurance Group.
Blankenship, also a former Marine, previously served as senior underwriter for ProSight Specialty Insurance. While there, he managed a portfolio of transportation and public auto risk. Prior to that, he served as an underwriter in the transportation practice group of State Auto Insurance Co.
Blankenship will work to grow TUMI’s brokerage business by expanding distribution and carrier relationships and hopes to grow TUMI’s marketplace presence.

INSUREtrust has hired Michael Ujjin as an account manager for the company’s cyber production team led by Executive Vice President Christiaan Durdaller. As account manager, Ujjin will be a primary business contact for clients and responsible for client satisfaction.
Before joining INSUREtrust, Ujjin worked at Beazley in Atlanta as an assistant underwriter. At Beazley, Ujjin was part of a nine-month, rotational training program and gained experience in multiple professional lines products.
He formerly interned at insurance company The Leavitt Group of Atlanta, where his responsibilities included corresponding with clients to help prepare renewal summaries, proposals and policy books and processing endorsements while checking for accuracy and issued certificates.
INSUREtrust, located in the Atlanta metro area, is a national insurance wholesaler focused on cyber liability insurance.
AssuredPartners Inc. has promoted Steve Deal to president of Eastern Regions, reporting to President and COO Tom Riley.
Deal, who will be based at the company’s headquarters in Lake Mary, Fla., will work within the existing operational structure to keep local operations in touch with their communities and position financial, sales, marketing, IT and HR structure to support additional growth.
Deal joined AssuredPartners in April 2013 as an executive vice president and director of Sales with more than 40 years in the industry as a regional leader, agency president and producer. Deal worked on the formation and building of Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs (HRH), where he worked for 25 years.
While there, he led the largest retail region and participated in more than 20 HRH acquisitions.
The company also announced a new position focused on its personal and small commercial insurance clients. Colin Lowe will assume the new role to lead the initiative as National Practice leader for Select Commercial and Personal Insurance. Lowe will work with AssuredPartners’ regional and local leadership in this position and will also be based in Lake Mary, Fla.
Lowe has more than 40 years of experience in the insurance industry on both the carrier and brokerage side. For the past year and a half, he has worked with AssuredPartners agencies around the country.

Beecher Carlson Insurance Services LLC, has promoted Joseph Siech to chief executive officer (CEO) and B. Scott Davis to chief operating officer (COO).
Siech is responsible for planning and directing the execution of Beecher Carlson’s client services and growth initiatives as well as guiding the development of short and long-term financial goals. He will continue to drive national sales leadership across the Beecher Carlson platform.
Siech assumes the role from Steve Denton, who has departed the company.
Siech began his career as a property underwriter for Arkwright Mutual and advanced by developing and servicing a large book of risk management clients for Hobbs Group, which later became HRH in 2002. He was recruited to Beecher Carlson in 2005.
Davis will oversee operational functions in the newly created COO role. He will direct strategic operational development to ensure future growth with a focus on creating and delivering value-added processes to clients. Davis will also continue as president of Casualty & Property.
Prior to his 13-year tenure at Beecher Carlson, Davis worked with Willis of Tennessee. He served as senior vice president and team leader. His experience also includes serving as president and CEO of Lockton-Tennessee prior to selling that entity in 1997.
